colinux 可以像windows的应用程序一样在一个窗口上运行linux并跟windows 共享文件

ubuntu7.10 for colinux boot FS image是干净的ubuntu7.10根文件系统映像。
运行后可以自己的需求来安装各种软件，包括xwindow,build-essential等。
colinux可以替代vmware或virtualbox/virtualpc等虚拟机在windows下运行linux系统。

Colinux (Cooperative Linux) 使得在Windows2000/XP上同时运行Linux成为可能并不借助
第三方的虚拟机软件（VMware , VitualPC).它不是一种虚拟机，而是Linux内核的移植，使得Linux 可以natively 运行在Windows上,所以运行速度快占用系统资源小。

coLinux 是标准 Linux 内核的一个端口。coLinux 就是一个 Linux 内核，它经过修改，以与另一个操作系统协作运行。
主机操作系统（Windows 或 Linux）控制操作系统的物理资源，而访客（guest）操作系统（coLinux）获得硬件的虚拟抽象。

下载 coLinux 最新发布版。请访问 http://www.colinux.org 并在左侧栏中选择 Downloads。
在接受许可协议之后，询问您希望安装哪些组件。保持这些设置不变（应该选择了所有组件），包括下载根文件系统映像。


colinux boot FS image for ubuntu7.10

1. execute stable-coLinux-20080118.exe to install on c:\colinux folder or other folder.

2. extract ubuntu7colinux.rar to D:\

3. run cai.bat on d:\ubuntu7colinux folder.

4. ID/passwd is root/root

5. you can install ubuntu softwares with apt-get install xxx/apt-get update/apt-get upgrade

到 了最后就一步，就是打不开xwindows xming 也启动了，但是就是没有显示？？？请帮看一下

我看到了你的log文件。
我在写的
#install xming and change IP address in X0.hosts file on xming installed folder
#export DISPLAY=155.35.71.100:0.0 # as same as x0.hosts IP address
哪里 155.35.71.100是我的计算机的IP来写的，
这是你的log文件里的提示的信息
XdmcpRegisterConnection: newAddress 192.168.10.100
winMultiWindowXMsgProc - DISPLAY=127.0.0.1:0.0
者两个不匹配，也就是xserver的IP地址的你要设置的export DISPLAY=ip地址不一样当然显示不了了。
Xwindows是 C/S架构的所以coliux里指定那个xserver就可以。
具体的步骤是：
1.先安装xming (#install xming )
2.在host(宿主机也就是你安装xming的windows机器)里command窗口里输入
c:> ipconfig /all
显示 你的 Ethernet adapter 本地连接:
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 155.35.71.100
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 155.35.71.1
3.到xming安装目录下你可以看到 X0.hosts的文件 默认是localhost改为刚才的155.35.71.100
（change IP address in X0.hosts file on xming installed folder ）
4.xLuanch来启动你的xserver,任务栏里显示一个X的图标。
5.启动http://www.fs2you/xxxxx的rar文件里的cai.bat
（因为我这里没有好的ftp服务器，所以那个站点里暂时放的那位网友提供给更好的下载站点就好了）
6.进入到ubuntu7.10的root #提示符下输入 #export DISPLAY=155.35.71.100:0.0
7.安装xwindow
http://groups.google.com/group/iyaf/web ... ubuntu7-10
ubuntu7colinux-readme.rar (请选择右边的list)
（安装步骤可以参考readme文件，我写英文的比较潦草请多见谅，因为那个是group所以大的文件放不下，文件存放了不同的站点）
8. 安装好的xwindow你可以在
colinux的ubuntu7.10下运行 $startxfce4 &
9.这时候可以在xming的xwindow下显示ubuntu的xwindow窗口了。
10.ubuntu boot image制作时候原先用了1GB的感觉空间小了如果只用command方式就差不多
所以制作了3GB的ubuntu7.10 boot image, 因为使用Xwindow下的应用程序多但该装的都装了也就2GB多一点。
如果要更大的空间的话你就FS目录下的文件mount（/etc/fstab）到这个这个系统里就可以了.
或系统移植就可以(mount 文件系统后 cp -ax /from /to)。
11.默认外部共享文件目录是/opt下的， 你可以windows下文件拷贝到 d:\ubuntu7colus\xfs，就能coliux下的/opt目录里看到并使用文件。
12.我用过vmware/virtual box/virtual pc等里装过ubuntu,系统资源占的最少的还是colinux.
系统稳定性也很好，用了很长时间没有系统崩溃过(coliux+debian,coliux+ubuntu)。
希望大家喜欢coliux+ubuntu7.10+X的组合。

更改了X0.hosts后，启动Xming时还是显示的是127.0.0.1：0

我的情况和你一模一样啊,联网都没有问题,唯独不能显示X窗口,但是关闭Xming的时候又可以看到提示有一个客户端连接.试了其他的X服务器也不行,看来不是Xming的问题. 不知道有没有人能解决这个问题? :cry:

请问楼主，顶部的application那些图标是怎么弄出来的，我装了gnome，ubuntu-desktop,启动的时候用startxfce4,但是界面上只有三个图标，顶上没有那些application图标，startx命令使用时报错
