英文环境下，如何安装中文输入法，装好如何切换

安装时候选择的英文环境
装好了如何弄中文输入呢？google查了不少，照着做了，但是好像都是针对中文环境（中文环境和英文环境安装输入法不同吗？我只是要上上网发email聊qq,这个任务实在艰难）。
转了scim,fitx?这个倒地怎么拼来着实在记不住。但是都不行，一个是怎么也无法切换出中文输入(ctrl+space,ctrl+shift)
好不容易不知道怎么出来了，输入拼音的话候选字是口口口，keyin倒是变成中文了，但是全市口口口怎么好用呢
而且切换还是有问题？

所以来这里问一下，简单明了的在英文环境下的中文输入法,thanks

没记错的话scim的好像是在/etc/environment里加上
LC_CTYPE="zh_CN.UTF-8"
就可以了

fcitx的就不知道了

immodule im-switch libapt-pkg-perl

That's not user friendly,can SCIM or fcitx handle the install and setting themselves?

这个简单，先设置为中文环境（自带中文输入法），装好之后再切回英文环境，不在乎多那么一点点语言包吧，呵呵。

That seems a clear answer,but who is right?compare to the command's answer on the 3rd floor?or both?

And again why SCIM and FCITX CANNOT handle this kind of setting themselves?Or even provide some kind of setting wizard will help a lot.It's not the systems responsiblity right?
Then leave to the users?Yes,I can do this easily as soon as I got the right answers from here,from u,cause I have pretty much IT background,but what will happen to my girlfriend?
I have heard a lot something like ubuntu is user friendly,it's for everyone blah blah blah...But from this point it seems ubuntu is far from ready...

这个不是scim的问题，是Linux的locale默认设置。Linux这个整体是老外开发的，你让他考虑到全世界各个国家的输入法，那是不现实的，只能由各个国家的用户自己添加。

如果将系统默认设置成中文的话，scim输入法是会默认开启的。英文系统中，因为locale设置的是en_US，系统默认不会启动scim，这就需要你在X启动的时候，将scim设置成开启。这个就是基本原理。

至于Linux，或者ubuntu linux是不是get ready，那不是这里应该讨论的问题。
