An Error Occured. Waiting online..

I just finished installing Ubuntu 5.10.

I tried to configure the system following The Configuration Guide at http://wiki.ubuntu.org.cn/%E5%BF%AB%E9% ... 7%E5%8D%97
step by step.

When I got to this step "sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list" , an error occoured.

I restart my computer. then,SUCCESSFULLY runed the command:sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list.
the programe gedit started. I can't remeber the following commandsv, so, I pressed Ctrl+C,haulted gedit. Then,I tried "sudo pppoeconf",to get online.... and then, I tried the previous command again,and FAILED again.the same error occured.

Now,I think,I can save the Configuration Guide page to my hardisk first,then follow the steps.

But,I want to know why.... I'm new to Linux,to Ubuntu. I need your help....

这个与UI库有关，为什么会失败我不是很清楚。还是希望有高手作答。

你可以用nano编辑器，在命令行里：

sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list

很易用的。
现在，6.06也可以申光盘了，或是下一个自己装，还是不错的。
