compaq n410c 笔记本安装ubuntu 8.04怎样才能打开3D效果？

我在wiki里按照安装ati显卡的说明试着安装不成功，我是新手。请高手帮忙！
后来发现wiki里的ati显卡安装说明是安装在ubuntu6.0系统上的。不知道是不是8.04也是照此方法安装。
