无法启用桌面效果

视觉效果那块无论选正常或者扩展都不行,提示"无法启用桌面效果".要怎么查看错误信息和解决?
显卡是比较老的855 GM

是不是改了“注册表”的问题？也许下面这帖子对你们有帮助：

突然发现好像是因为原来开启过Metacity的复合特性，导致桌面效果无法打开，
进而导致Compiz Fusion的3D桌面等特效打不开。
打开gconf-editor，将/apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager这个键值后面的勾去掉即可，
