帮楼主补充一点:
添加立方体的背景:点击Desktop Cube(桌面立方体)(在桌面类别中),进入其属性,在Appearance选项中,点击Skydome,选中Skydome,并在Skydome image中添加图片(即3D桌面旋转时的天空背景图片);选中Animate Skydome,可以使天空图片随立方体桌面移动。

弄了一个晚上,按楼主说的弄,其它的都搞好了,就是不同的桌面背景,开3D时出不来,图片也添加了,就是桌面背景不换,谢楼主,若不是你的贴子,3D,俺还真的整不出来 呢。

呵呵,如何判断显卡驱动是否已经安装成功,这也是个严重问题。
因为默认情况下,大部分显卡Linux都能调用出其最高分辨率,但这并不等于显卡驱动已经安装成功。

就N卡而言,如果“nvidia官方驱动”安装成功,在启动X时能看到Nivida的标志,
而且在/etc/X11/xorg.conf文件的device字段里是支持3D的“nvidia”而不是仅支持2D的“nv”。

如果你使用的是ubuntu系统默认的“非受限驱动”,从8.04版来看,不是每张卡都能顺利启用3D桌面。

呵呵,如何判断显卡驱动是否已经安装成功,这也是个严重问题。
因为默认情况下,大部分显卡Linux都能调用出其最高分辨率,但这并不等于显卡驱动已经安装成功。

就N卡而言,如果“nvidia官方驱动”安装成功,在启动X时能看到Nivida的标志,
而且在/etc/X11/xorg.conf文件的device字段里是支持3D的“nvidia”而不是仅支持2D的“nv”。

如果你使用的是ubuntu系统默认的“非受限驱动”,从8.04版来看,不是每张卡都能顺利启用3D桌面。

我在手动安装“官方驱动”时,也遇到过这个问题,后来用envyng装驱动后,就没有这问题了。
另外,下次你不必把整个LOG文件都传上来,只需在终端输入命令:
more /var/log/Xorg.0.log |grep "(EE)" 和 more /var/log/Xorg.0.log |grep "(WW)"
这两句命令的意思是,查看图形界面启动时的错误(或警告)信息.
用这个命令:more /var/log/Xorg.0.log |grep "(EE)" > 123
这样就能把错误信息保存在123文件里了。

我就是用的ENVYNG装的才会这个样子的
我后来 手动安装 就能开特效了 不过还出不了 立方体 因为我的桌面数 只能为1 即 4 1 1 不能设置成你说的 4 1 4
