ubuntu7.10server可以安装xwindows吗

昨晚下了个ubuntu7.10server版,安装后发现没视窗界面,请教各位大侠,怎么安装啊,还有:root的密码为多少啊.在线等各位大侠的回复.补充下:我输入sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop后,跳了一段百分比就自动停止了.

root的话：
sudo passwd root然后看提示操作

理论上是应该可以的，，，，只是具体操作嘛～～～～抱歉，我也不知道。毕竟服务器版系统和普通字符版的系统还是有区别的。
而Xwindow就类似于早期微软制作的那个基于DOS系统的Win32、Win95一样，理论上是可以加装Xwindow的。

#apt-get install xserver-xorg
#apt-get install x-window-system-core
#dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
#apt-get install gdm xscreensaver
#apt-get install ttf-arphic*
#startx
