急！安装新内核时报错“/usr/sbin/grub-probe: error: cannot stat `aufs'.”

在硬盘上装的是WIN7和XP，将ubuntu装在一个8G的usb上，然后直接在usb上重新编译内核完成后，在安装时提示出错！！
搜索了下baidu和google上跟/usr/sbin/grub-probe: error: cannot stat `aufs'.相关到帖子，没找到解决办法
尝试了下grub-install /dev/sdb1也是报同样错误，请各位大牛支下招！！，
因为重新编译到内核有特别的用途，工作需要，急，在线等！！
