一直想体验一下tickless内核，不知道能不能单独升级内核呢？会不会影响其他部分。应该怎么升级呢？

已经将内核升级到2.6.22-7了，目前一切正常，启动速度比2.6.20快了大概半分钟，以前好象会卡在硬盘的检测上。
发一张bootchart图对比一下。

将源里的 feisty 改成 gutsy ,只改main 里的就行了。刷新源，然后找到linux-image，注意看版本号，升级一下，然后将gusty改回feisty，我就是这样升级的。

楼主，我的源好像是每一行都有main，该改哪一行呢？

改这一行就行了。改成

代码：全选

deb http://ubuntu.csie.ntu.edu.tw/ubuntu/ gutsy main restricted universe multiverse

刷新一下。
升级linux-image-generic linux-ubuntu-modules linux-image-2.6.22-7-generic.
注意升级完了上改回feisty，不然有可能会误升级其他的。

升级了新内核，可惜认不出我笔记本上的无线网卡，只好用原来的，奇怪啊

debian可以这样解决.比如我的系统是lenny sid混合系统.source.list是这样的

debian 还可以设置默认的版本.具体见apt howto手册.

请问LZ那个BootChart是什么工具做出来的，我现在用7.10的源，内核是2.6.22-11启动有一个地方有点卡，不好分析，希望LZ赐教。
