刚刚装了7.04 Desktop版的，是刻了盘装的。
在成功更新了源，成功驱动了显卡（开机的时候会出现nvidia的logo）之后，显示的分辨率还是最高的1024＊768的。我的显示器是17的液晶，应该是用1280＊1024的啊，可现在怎么也改不回来了，包括手动修改xorg.cong也是没有用的。手动修改了以后倒是可以选择更大的分辨率，但是应用了以后屏幕上就什么都显示不出来了，重启后无法进入图形界面，但是在字符界面下重装了显卡驱动后可以进入。
各位大虾，麻烦告诉我怎么才能安全的改成1280＊1024的分辨率啊！！！

哈哈，根据我几个月的学习总算能看懂一点了。你这里Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"最高也只有到1024*768没有1280*1024的分辨率,自然上不去了

有什么其他的方法可以升上去吗?非常规方法?

nvidia自带配置工具的说。。。
nvidia-settings 好象是这个，
用sudo运行一下看看。

我还是不太明白哎?
是不是我的显示器的问题啊！我从Ubuntu的设备管理器里面好像没有找到显示器的信息。
但是也不太可能啊，我的显示器可是现在主流的显示器，三星，2000：1，5ms的。

sudo sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
这个调试得很准。
选项大概只注意两个：
显卡型号选择nv或nvidia
分辨率选择：1280＊1024

当然找不到 这个要你自己改的
去中关村搜索你的显示器 就可以看到那些参数 然后自己改掉
