链接vpn报错

我用pptp链接时报错是启动服务失败。
我用ipsec链接时报下面的错误

'VPNCloud_L2TP'--和你确认一下，你给VPN连接起这么个名字，是确切地知道VPN服务器提供的是L2TP的服务，还是自己想试试？

IPSEC L2TP和PPTP是两种完全不同的VPN方式，表现在ubuntu上，两者要求安装的软件包都不一样。首先你需要明确服务器端提供的是PPTP还是IPSEC L2TP的服务，也有同时提供两种接入方式的VPN服务器，你要明确知道自己要用哪种方式，而不是去试--还有既不是PPTP也不是L2TP的方式。

如果你确定服务器端是L2TP的，那么要安装相应的包。ubuntu下有一个图形化的工具可以用来配置L2TP的连接。

如果服务器提供的是PPTP的服务，那么你要安装PPTP相关的包，然后可以通过panel上的nm-applet来添加PPTP的配置。与L2TP相比，这种方式还是比较简单的。

并且ubuntu下的L2TP的工具有校验的bug，不过你还根本没到bug那一步，先把前面的信息了解清楚，配置好了连接再说吧。。。

谢谢楼上的回复，我用的是云梯，的vpn，https://www.ytvpn.com/guides/ubuntu_pptp这个是他的配置链接教程，我是按照他上面的配置的，对这两种都是有支持的。我用他教程里面说的两种链接都试了的还是不行。我问他们客服但是那个客服明显就是一个妹子，什么都不知道，他说找技术人员给我看了的，日志看不出明显的原因，居然叫我重装系统。。。。。。

多问一句，这个好像是收费的服务吧，你已经买了服务，拿到配置vpn需要的那些信息了吗？我看了一下其网页上的教程，虽然不是在最新的ubuntu 14.04上抓的画面，但教程本身是对的。建议你先尝试配置PPTP的连接，复杂度比L2TP低很多，成功了再去搞L2TP--而且L2TP是有bug的，有个小窍门。。。

另外，IT求助只要一听那边是令人酥麻的妹子的声音，那就代表她只是个接线员，不是真正做技术支持的，最多会照着列表给你几个电话、链接什么的。

我用gconf-editor 里面没有 （system -> networking -> connection -> 1 -> vpn ）没有system只有apps和desktop与schemas这三个。

大概知道了，现在我在windows环境下，过15分钟左右我切到linux下把ubuntu下需要安装的包，以及我的配置范例贴上来。。。

你装过新立得包管理器吗？没有的话sudo apt-get install synaptic装好，以便于确认所需要的包是否都安装好了。

装好了L2TP的包，右上角我那个hp的图标右边的就是用来配置l2tp的。再右边的nm-applet就是用来配置pptp的。

PPTP的配置完成后，其配置文件在/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections下，你如果对配置文件是否正确没把握，可以找到那个文件，拷贝到其他目录后编辑，去掉配置文件中你要保密的个人登录信息。然后把文件中的内容贴上来，我可以帮你看一下。。。

例如：

我新立得包管理器看了都安装了的。显示链接失败。 我/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/到这个文件移动的时候说权限不够。

用你实际的配置文件名替换vpn_config。。。拷贝到家目录里编辑。。。

看你前面的描述“我用gconf-editor 里面没有 （system -> networking -> connection -> 1 -> vpn ）没有system只有apps和desktop与schemas这三个。”--你能说明一下你是用nm-applet来配置pptp的吗？还是用的其他工具？我前面贴的有桌面背景的那张图上的活动窗口就是nm-applet配置pptp的画面，如果你用的不是这个，请说明。。。

别管gcong-editor，现在配置vpn根本用不到这个工具。。。
