[问题]Dapper下下载了essential codecs package该如何安装？

自从Breezy升级到Dapper后，Totem就不能再用了，只有BMP还可以听歌，听说要安装essential codecs package才能解决，于是从网上下了这包，但接下来是不是直接解压安装就可以了？请指点，谢谢

是deb包？sudo dpkg -i xxx.deb。如果不是，就麻烦些。源里面没有？？我记得并不是要安装这样的包的。本子论坛有很多次说明。

是essential-20050412.tar.bz2的包，如何不用装，那该如何把Totem“修”好？

这种包，就要看下载时的说明了。有解压缩到系统的，有解开，在执行安装的。多半修不好。还是再确定是不是这个包能解决再说。

播放影音文件时提示“You do not have a decoder installed to handle this file. You might need to install the necessary plugins.”在升级源时遇到过gstreamer0.8设置没通过的问题

忘记了。还有解开后，需要编译的。还要下编译环境。

tar -jxfv essential-20050412.tar.bz2,然后看看里面的install或者readme文件，看看是怎么安装，好像这个解码器是拷贝到一个目录就好了。

最新版本的tar好像可以自动解压bz2和gz的包，不用z和j的参数……

现在是解压在主文件夹下了，现在在看Readme文件

These are binary codecs for use with MPlayer. They are useless for normal
Windows players (like WMP, QuickTime, RealPlayer, ...) as they only contain
the DLLs without installer and other fancy stuff needed to use them with
common Windows players.

Put the files contained in this archive in a directory where MPlayer will find
them. The default directory is /usr/local/lib/codecs/ ($prefix/lib/codecs/) if
you are compiling from source, but you can change that value by passing the
'--with-codecsdir' option to './configure'.

If you use a prebuilt MPlayer package it will most likely be /usr/lib/codecs,
see the documentation of your package for details.

In the past /usr/local/lib/win32 or /usr/lib/win32 was the default directory,
some packages as well as a few other Unix players like xine and avifile still
use it, refer to their documentation for further details.

下的通配命令如何写了？
