感觉aticonfig --overlay-type=Xv 很重要，无论是播放视频还是上土豆看flv，cpu占用都有很大降低，我的单核速龙3200+装驱动之前看视频1.80GHz,现在1Gz,和在xp下一样了

我的是atihd2400，不知道此分数正常不？
还有就是安装了驱动之后，窗口没有最大化和最小化的按钮了

严格按照楼主的步骤去做,最后测试时显示
OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: www.mesa3d.org
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
OpenGL version string: 1.4 (2.1 Mesa 7.0.3-rc2)

看来是失败了
然后卸载又重新安装了一次,依然显示为Mesa
请问该如何解决?

使用方法一失败的，请使用方法二安装，方法二同样可以安装催化剂最新版本，保险，就是麻烦

在新立得中把含有fglrx的软件包全部删除
我在新立得中怎么找不到含有fglrx的软件包？
我已经重装了七八遍了，怎么也搞不定，我的硬件是 amdXP2400+CPU、迪兰恒进 9550显卡、512内存。

55楼,现在的ati driver 可以像windows一样图形界面安装的，8.8的版本更方便。直接 sudo sh ati-driver-installer-8-8-x86.x86_64.run 就可以，然后自动，下一步，完成。在application--accessories--中可以看到ati-controller面板，只是相对ati-config 命令简单一些，有3D的设置
