无需安装、直接使用 ubuntu （2008.08.27更新）

您的版本很棒，但是我在使用dd扩大为4G后，
e2fsck /host/ubuntu-8.04-ready/root.disk
resize2fs /host/ubuntu-8.04-ready/root.disk(Permission denied to resize filesystem)
空间没有扩大，该如何办呢？
请教！！！

这个，我个人并没有实际操作过，我猜想，首先，扩容操作应该在另一系统中进行，而不是在当前运行的 ubuntu-8.04-ready 中进行。

另外，加上 sudo 试试

我想应该也是要在另一个linux系统里面对这个新增盘进行e2fsck,并进行resize确认！后面试一下。当然都是在sudo里面干的。呵呵。
我是新手，不太懂。
另外，如果将usr单独建立usr.disk,那么usr.disk 和root.disk 应该要在一个逻辑盘里面吧！否则挂载点没法实现。疑惑……

LZ，请问，假如我安装GRUB时，没有保存原来的MBR，我用的是M$的Vista，现在机子没有办法正常启动了，启动时好象是winload出了问题，有什么办法可以解决？

不好意思，刚接触linux，可能问题比较多~

看了hdd-boot.rar里的说明文件：
“2.解压 hdd-boot.zip ，用记事本打开 menu.lst ，将所有“****************”改成 ubuntu-8.04-ready 所在分区的标识（类似 /dev/sda5 ），也可用 UUID 标识（类似 UUID=B8385A5B385A1928 ）。如果不太明白，google 一下。”
问题是我把ubuntu-8.04-ready解压到F：盘根目录了。可是F盘的uuid是什么呢~~有什么命令可以查的？
/dev/sda5又是什么意思呀？

ps:按照LZ的办法做，感觉这种方法应该是在计算机上安装了双系统。linux和windows可选。
可是论坛里说ubuntu能像安装在windows系统里的应用程序一样启动。那是不是应该有什么可执行文件呢？
或者一定要下载官方的ISO文件安装才能做到这样的效果。
