哈哈 这不叫叛变，本来就是一家人。
我也在试着用FreeBSD,理由纯粹是感觉他是正统的UNIX,出身更高贵，更学院派，更牛逼些。听说了不少用FreeBSD做桌面太垃圾的说法。但是我只是在虚拟机上用，又不真天天只用它一个。
我安装了一个字符界面的最小系统，然后一点点往上搭xorg xdm xfce这些东西，慢慢折腾吧。啥时候感觉和ubutnu用起来的方便性没两样了再装到硬盘上。欢迎和我讨论QQ 54933656

记得刚开始接触FreeBSD的时候，有下面几点，让我惊讶了不久：

1.FreeBSD默认不是Bash，甚至没有Bash，得自己手动安装

2.超级牛力的FreeBSD启动，与grub不同的是，自动检测usb和光驱等外设，软启各种系统和设备

3.包的获得与安装：分两种package和ports，package是二进制安装，ports是源码安装。类似arch的pkg和aur，但仅仅是类似。

4.社区很集中，中国而言都在且只在freebsdchina中活跃，而且里面都是怪人+牛人+神人。

记得一次上freebsdchina，和一个人讨论了好久，突然发现真的很眼熟。下意识打开几天前不久看的FreeBSD的源码，我顿时惊呆了！

凝视屏幕许久，原来这段代码是他写的！

FreeBSD遵循的BSD许可比常用的GPL许可更为宽松，它允许保留改进过的源代码，而直接发布二进制形式的软件。

如果某听了楼主的美言，却不小心下载了一个商业公司的免费版本，某慢慢地喜欢上它，离不开它，哪天它开始霸道，开始收费， 这不就是和 windows一样了？



某没觉得就产品本身而言，windows 或 苹果有什么不好，但某用linux是因为某向往自由

不要懷疑瘋的力量，一瘋起來，原裝不改，只改個圖形就說是「自主開發」，0.001k的源碼也不用開放，你也為之奈何。

- High availability storage
- Enhanced SNMP reporting
- Virtualization and resource partitioning
- Embedded device support
- Networking stack improvements

o Allocated $50,000 for equipment to enhance FreeBSD project
infrastructure.

o Sponsored 8 FreeBSD related conferences.

o Funded 16 travel grants giving increased community and
developer access to conferences.

o Provided legal support to the FreeBSD project.

our work to strengthen the FreeBSD community ensures the continued
