安装Ubuntu 7.10桌面版本之后，无中文输入法，采用如下的步骤，就可以解决了
1. sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list 打开sources.list文件。
2. 用以下内容

替换原来的sources.list文件内容。
3. sudo apt-get update 执行系统更新。
4. 打开 System--系统管理--Language Support。选中Chinese，点击应用Ubuntu会自动安装中文输入法。
需要重启，输入法才能正常使用。ctril+space 就可以启动 scim了。
