Unable to access to X desktop

After installation of GMlive(? not sure, it is on line TV program), maybe some document has been replaced or moved.And restart the machine, only command line available.
I check the file
/Var/log/Xorg.0.log
there is something abnormal here.
(EE) config/hal:couldn't initialise context: (null) ((null))
