N卡用户弃受限驱动，改用nvidia官方驱动的操作步骤及注意事项

大哥你好，我CUP是酷睿E7300的，显卡是N卡9600GT的，下载的是您帖子里那个NVIDIA-Linux-x86-180.22-pkg1.run在桌面上，我也在新立得里标记并删除了所有关于NVIDIA的已经安装上的软件包（我的标记的时候选择的是“标记并彻底删除”）应用完后，按您说的进终端输入sudo rmmod nvidia提示：ERROR: Module nvidia does not exist in /proc/modules
输入sudo rm -r -f /lib/modules/2.6.27-9-generic/kernel/drivers/video/nvidia*没有反应，接着输入chmod +x NVIDIA-Linux-x86-180.22-pkg1.run后，提示：chmod: 无法访问“NVIDIA-Linux-x86-180.22-pkg1.run”: 没有该文件或目录，再输入sudo sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-180.22-pkg1.run的时候提示：sh: Can't open NVIDIA-Linux-x86-180.22-pkg1.run

我现在的分辨率很低，原来是1920*1080的，请帮帮我，我该怎么办啊？谢谢了

按您说的进终端输入sudo rmmod nvidia提示：ERROR: Module nvidia does not exist in /proc/modules

这说明你系统已经清理干净了，装nvidia的程序最麻烦的事就是老版本驱动卸载不干净！

输入sudo rm -r -f /lib/modules/2.6.27-9-generic/kernel/drivers/video/nvidia*没有反应

正常执行，它是没有屏幕输出显示的。它就是强制删除可能存在的nvidia目录，目的也是为了清除驱动残留

接着输入chmod +x NVIDIA-Linux-x86-180.22-pkg1.run后，提示：chmod: 无法访问“NVIDIA-Linux-x86-180.22-pkg1.run”: 没有该文件或目录，再输入sudo sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-180.22-pkg1.run的时候提示：sh: Can't open NVIDIA-Linux-x86-180.22-pkg1.run

它提示你没有该文件或目录，可能文件不在你的当前目录下。你把它拷贝到你的home目录下就是/home/你的账户/这个目录下再执行这两条命令，正常情况下，文件下载下来就带有可执行属性，chmod +x这一条可以不执行，直接执行第二条就行了。你现在分辨率低是因为显卡没有驱动起来

一个比较郁闷的事情，，按楼主的说法做了，也在synaptic把带nvdia字样的包全删了，执行过sudo rmmod nvidia和sudo rm -r -f /lib/modules/2.6.27-9-generic/kernel/drivers/video/nvidia*了，但是安装180.22后依然无法正常启动，低分辨率，查看安装log，发现:

不是已经删光了所有的旧module了么，怎么还出现177 ？？

这已经说明问题了：
NVRM API不匹配：客户端版本是18.22，但是核心模块的版本是177.82，请保版本致！


还是旧的驱动没有清理干净！！！！！！
你的linux内核是什么版本？
你这样做：
1、退出到控制台模式

代码： 全选

sudo /ect/init.d/gdm stop

然后按Alt + F1 然后登录
2、卸载你已经安装的180.22

代码： 全选

sudo sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-180.22-pkg1.run --uninstall

3、查找哪里还有nvidia的东西

代码： 全选

sudo find -name nvidia.*

发现一个手动rm掉一个
然后再装

我搜索nvidia，把搜出来的，已经安装的。。全部彻底删除。。。重启，终于安上180.22了。。。。。。。

只删除和nv有关的就行了

正常情况下，文件下载下来就带有可执行属性，chmod +x这一条可以不执行，直接执行第二条就行了。你现在分辨率低是因为显卡没有驱动起来

不正常，所有Linux下载下来的文件一定是不带执行属性的，貌似一般而言发行版不会随意修改这个，否则带来很大的安全漏洞。

但是按照上面介绍的方法，一定能成功。

删除了所有nvidia也没用。驱动也uninstall了。重 装始终出这个。十分郁闷。请求帮助.

我卸载重启了登录后任务栏什么的都变白了，没法运行终端。登出用ROOT登录后运行sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop，一直显示startding gnome display manager,按任何键无效。咋回事，驱动都卸载干净了的阿

它的第一个错误是说你没有退出X Server，安装这个驱动，要停止GDM的，我在命令续列里已经有说了，你检查一下，看看是不是自己漏了执行

如果停止了GDM还是同样的话，你不妨重启，进入恢复模式下的控制台模式，再安装驱动
