升级2.6.28内核后，/是ext4dev无法启动问题解决办法

急！！ 新手光盘安装Ubuntu9.04-a6 ext4完成 重启（看到ubunt的开机画面，条码滑动...）后无法进入图形界面，出现以下文字：

i tested ext4 with ubuntu9.04 yesterday, but it is unstable, now i come back to ext3 with 8.10, now it is perfect

我在xp下用硬盘安装完9.04-alternate，按照网上的方法用grub4dos引导，
第一遍的时候/boot是ext3，/是ext4，启动系统后提示：[..1215] /bin/mkdir /var/run/network abnormal exit。
第二遍的时候/boot和/都是ext3，如果在menu.lst中kernel那行加上rootfstype=ext3则启动后提示rec_len is smaller than minimal；不加的话就提示target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init
我手里也没有live CD，该怎么办？
