求教如何让thunderbird后台自动收取邮件

论坛里找了一下，貌似以前也有人问过这个问题，不过是好多年前的事了。。不知道现在有没有方法可以让thunderbird后台自动收取邮件了呢。。要是一个邮件客户端都不能后台自动收取邮件的话我要他又有什么用呢。。而且啊而且他还在任务栏里放一个信封的图标。。搞得好像本来就在后台运行一样。。
求大神指导一下。。有没有什么插件可用也可以。。我找了几个插件不过好像都不行。。

你说的是启动thunderbird后不用手工点¨获取消息¨就能自动收邮件吗？如是，到菜单-->编辑-->某个邮箱-->服务器，去选上自动下载新消息。。。

不是这样。。可能我描述的不清楚。我就想知道难道把thunderbird的主窗口关掉之后就不能后台收取邮件了吗？我要是想收取邮件必须把它打开最小化吗？想点了叉之后他还能自动提醒新邮件
