there is no output after I type in

env | grep im
and when I try
系统 -> 系统管理 -> 语言支持
在支持的语言中，选择Chinese 打勾
在默认语言中，选择Chinese。
I found that there is only English in Supported Languages list.


2.
after i try the command

the console ouput is:
没有找到与 scim-pinyin-0.5.91 相匹配的软件包。

为什么我开启Compiz Fusion Icon后部份程式不用使用输入 法（如Mozilla Firefox 和OpenOffice)

应用程序 -> 附件 -> 终端 打开一个终端窗口，按照下面的命令输入 env|grep im
什么都没有显示
系统 -> 系统管理 -> 语言支持
在支持的语言中，选择Chinese 打勾 ,在列表中没有Chinese条目, just have "English".
how can I do ?

我现在大问题是我的语言支持中没有中文这一项 只有一个英文。
而且构选 了英文后 点击 Apply 也没有任何反应。 语言支持被我删除了。由于是新手 不知道该如何处理。

安装完系统后并没有出现 如下的选项：

系统 -> 系统管理 -> 语言支持，在列表中的Chinese条目打勾。

默认只有一个English.


请前辈指导

我的系统是7.10，locale是18030，emacs版本22.1.1(未装mule-ucs，因为源里只有21的版本)，运行emacs的时候可以正常调出SCIM输入法，但是输入汉字时候乱码，比如一个看字，应该编码是BFB4，但我输入的编码是 3F34，也就是最高位的1变成了0。
在utf-8的locale下输入正常，请问这是什么原因呢，和我的emacs配置文件有关系么？

Since it's English env of my Ubuntu, I cannot trigger the input method in any application,
and I always gets below err info:

我装好compiz config manger重起后SCIM输入法就出不来啦？现在只能暂时用在线输入法。。。

按照楼主的指引，修改了源并成功update后，再次输入命令：
sudo apt-get -y install language-pack-gnome-zh language-pack-gnome-zh-base language-pack-zh language-pack-zh-base language-support-zh
得到如下反馈。
Reading package lists... Done

Package language-pack-gnome-zh-base is not available, but is referred to by another package.
